Les Idées

Phloe is the solo project of Florian Bouyou, a French multi-instrumentalist and guitar builder living in Montréal. Les Idées began as a need for new sleep music but quickly evolved into something more complex after Florian started taking saxophone lessons and learning composition.

Taking cues from many genres of music, this album mixes ambient jazz with more intricate electronic elements and complex time signatures. It’s influenced by artists such as Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen, Steve Reich and Erik Truffaz.
