Music emerging from a time of change - a time of reorientation and restoration.
The German word ‘Senke’ can be translated as ‘valley’ or a dip in the landscape. Something that decreases and descends. Translators also refer to the (geological form of the) term ‘depression’. Most importantly though, a ‘Senke’ also goes up again, eventually.
Recorded on and with clarinet, field recorder, various synthesizers, electric and acoustic guitar, effect pedals, sampler, slit drum, glockenspiel, kalimba, xylophone.
